…. first down Oregon
Oregon wins the 2012 Rose Bowl over Wisconsin 45-38
Terrell Turner talking about Andrew Luck
“He’s such a nice guy out there, I was calling him, ‘Little [Tim] Tebow.’ I lay him out and he’s like, ‘Nice hit, 45.’ I go, ‘You ain’t talking to me like that. I gotta be mean out here.”
The Ducks just landed a commitment from 4star runningback Byron Marshall. He’s 5’10 195 lb’s and is known for his speed, elusiveness, vision, and hands. This is a big pick up for the ducks knowing that DeAnthony Thomas isn’t only playing runningback. Oregon will need a set back for when LaMichael leaves at the end of this year or next year.
Q:"oregon belongs with the big boys" < wrong. LSU was a touchdown a way from doubling their score. In an SEC-less college football league, sure, Oregon belongs on top. They've won 9 game but only because they play shit teams. If you compare LSU's schedule (beating the #3, #25, #16, #17, #19, & #2 nationally ranked teams) to the duck's, there's no competition. Oregon lacks endurance. I'm not saying they're a bad team, but they're not at the "big boy" table this year. Maybe next year.
i’m not taking away anything from the SEC, just because a team has a stronger schedule doesn’t mean they can beat a team who was unlucky enough to be playing in a conference that hasn’t been up to par. I believe Oregon is a big boy team but its hard to prove it when they can’t play play anyone. The two turnovers killed Oregon in that LSU game. I’m not saying Oregon would of for sure won but i am saying it would have been much closer. Lots of fresh new starters this year for Oregon, it was tough for them to bounce back after two straight turnovers. If the two played again, the entire game would look like the first half of that first game, I would love to watch it. Oregon is definitely a top 5 team and to me the labels BIG BOY.
